November 10th: Full Moon

November's full moon is out tonight.

The Farmer's Almanac:
Full Beaver Moon – November This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon.

I took these pictures about 5ish tonight.

In the country it's dark at night, really dark, there are no lights to dim the shine of the moon and stars. Whenever we have visitors from the city they are amazed at the beauty of the night sky. When I visit the city and look up, the only thing I can see is the reflection of city lights on the horizon. Another reason I would not like to live in a city.

Have you ever seen a shooting star? When I see a shooting start it's like magic. It makes me feel like anything can happen, and I always make a wish.

I never tire of the changing seasons, the moon, and the stars.
I'm a simple gal who believes in dreams.
